Founder and
Creative Director

Susan Herrick is the founding Creative Director for Voices of Indiana. She is also the Choral Director at Lawrenceburg High School. Mrs. Herrick is actively involved with accompanying, playing for church and teaching piano lessons. She has a Bachelor of Music Education from Indiana University and a Master of Science in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Executive Director

Kristin Suess is the Executive Director for Voices of Indiana. She has worked in professional arts management since 2000. After receiving a BA in vocal performance and music theater from Colorado Mesa University, she moved to Cincinnati to pursue an MBA/MA in arts administration at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music. Kristin was an adjunct instructor for her alma mater, and holds a certificate in Blended and Online Learning and Teaching (BOLT). Kristin currently works as the Program Coordinator for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at UC.

Trisha Johnson


Trisha Johnson has been the Young Voices accompanist since the 2005-2006 season. Trish holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Indiana State University, a Master of Science in Education and School Counseling from Indiana University and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Ball State University. She served as the Choral Director at Milan High School for 11 years, and the Choral Director at Greendale Middle School for 2 years. Trish is a member of the Praise Team at Rising Sun Church of Christ, and is a member of Phi Beta Psi Sorority.  Her day job is being the Assistant Principal at South Dearborn Middle School.

Director of Cantori

Pamela Gast

Pamela Gast is the Director of Cantori, YV's male a cappella ensemble. Pam is currently the choir director at Sunman Elementary School, but has taught vocal music in other area schools. She was the choir director at Greendale Middle School, and served as the Vocal Instructor at Oldenburg Academy as well. She also teaches private voice and piano lessons and has been active in church music for many years. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Youngstown State University's Dana School of Music, and her Masters Degree in Music Education from Kent State University, with a concentration on the adolescent voice.

Patricia Richards

Director of Preludes

Patricia Richards is the Director of Preludes. She has taught music in public and parochial schools and been Music Director in a number of Cincinnati churches for over 40 years.  She holds a BME from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, a M.Ed from Miami University, and had done additional coursework in early childhood and elementary music methods. She was a Fulbright Memorial Fund scholar, and twice earned Teacher Creativity grants from the Lilly Endowment. Although currently retired from full time teaching in Lawrenceburg Schools, she does music substitute teaching, church music work, and coaches singers preparing for auditions, and plays mountain dulcimer with the Cincinnati Dulcimer Society.
